The Challenge
A real estate company with aggressive hiring requirements needed to add accounting, tax, finance and audit staff to its corporate headquarters without continuing to incur the exorbitant fees of external search firms. While the costs were burdensome, the need for local, accounting niche expertise was undeniable. The CEO mandate was to find a solution that would both satisfy the strenuous and complicated staffing demands, as well as drastically reduce agency spend.
The Solution
TalentWoo placed one of its own, local staffing experts on-site to serve as Staffing Manager. With access to our platform, tools, resources and team, the On-Site Manager began to build relationships with the executive team, directors and hiring managers to thoroughly understand the culture and required competencies. Creating talent pipelines, negotiating and forging new outsourced agency programs with guidelines, structuring a formal candidate interview process, and establishing relationships with local universities, all hiring was done in-house.

Problem Solved.
Beginning to attack the challenge at the end of 2013, we were able to shift perceptions at the corporate level. Managers began to trust that internal resources could perform as well, if not better, than external agencies. The impact was felt almost immediately as we began to make high-calibur hires and build strong internal relationships. Within 24 months, external agency dependence was eliminated and an Agency Vendor Program put in place to manage and control staffing costs incurred at corporate headquarters.
